139.12 DEMANDING OR RECEIVING GREATER FEE THAN IS ALLOWED BY LAW.

No officer, in performing any official duty for which a fee or compensation is allowed or provided by law, shall knowingly demand or receive a greater fee or compensation than is allowed or provided. (1947 Code §2.89)
