There is hereby established, within the Department of Finance, the office of City Clerk.
The City Clerk shall give notice of Council meetings to members of Council and to the public; keep the journal of Council proceedings which shall be signed by the Clerk and when approved at a subsequent meeting of Council, shall be signed by the presiding officer; authenticate by his or her signature, and record in full in a book kept for such purpose, all ordinances and resolutions, and perform all such other duties required by the Charter, ordinance, resolution or order of Council or by order of the Mayor.
