The town council may remove any member of a board, committee, or commission with or without cause as determined by the town council, prior to the expiration of a member's term, upon an affirmative vote for removal of a majority of the members of the town council eligible to vote on the removal. Members of boards, committees, and commissions who are appointed or reappointed following the effective date hereof shall serve no more than two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms.
