In the event a customer whose water service has been disconnected due to nonpayment of the monthly bill, has not had service reconnected within 30 days from the date of disconnect, the customer shall be given a 10-day written notification of the intent of the city to remove the water meter for nonpayment of the bill, and that the customer’s right to use of that meter shall have been forfeited due to nonpayment. The customer shall be further advised that should the meter removal occur, a new application and a new meter will be required for service, at current cost (as specified in the city’s current fee schedule).
