A customer who has a valid right to use a city water meter and is current on all monetary obligations to the city relating to that meter may request that the meter be removed.  At any time for 5 years after the date of the removal of the water meter, the customer may have a meter reinstalled upon the payment of a fee in the amount specified in the city’s current fee schedule.  The fee for reinstallation may be amended by the City Council by resolution.
