§ 55.001 USE OF PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FIELDS BY SPORTS LEAGUES
   (A)   The city may provide for organized sports leagues or may contract for the operation of organized sports leagues as will be determined by the City Commission on a periodic basis. The city may also utilize its park facilities and recreational fields for use by the city's organized sports leagues.
   (B)   Any city organized sports league, whether operated by the city or by a city contractor, shall have priority over all others for the use of such designated city park facilities and recreational fields.
   (C)   Any other organized sports team or league not affiliated with any city organized league is prohibited from using any city park facility or recreational field unless the following conditions are met:
      (1)   Any practice or game time scheduling is coordinated with the city's sports league program director so that the proposed use does not interfere with the city's sports and recreational programs; and
      (2)   The organization, team and/or coaches seeking to utilize the city's park facilities and recreational fields secure liability insurance with minimum liability amounts of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00). The insurance shall list the city as an additional insured and proof of insurance must be provided to the City Manager.
