(A) The weight limit for vehicles crossing the bridges across the Houston Creek within the city on Second Street, Houston Avenue, and Lilleston Avenue and the bridge crossing the Louisville and Nashville Railroad on Duncan Avenue, is hereby fixed at thirty thousand (30,000) pounds.
(B) No vehicle of a weight, including load, greater than thirty thousand (30,000) pounds shall cross all or any portion of any of the four (4) bridges in subsection (A).
(C) Any police officer of the city who has reasonable grounds to believe that a vehicle is using or has used one (1) of those bridges while its total weight was in excess of thirty thousand (30,000) pounds, may stop such vehicle and require it to produce a certificate as to weight on the occasion in question, or to secure a certificate of its weight from any local operator of a certified scale or other certified weighing device.
