§ 41.202 AGGREGATE BASE
   Base material shall consist of pugmilled dense graded aggregate (DGA) limestone, meeting the Kentucky Department of Highways’ specifications for this material. It shall be eight (8) inches thick, placed in two (2) four inch (4”) courses, and compacted to a density no less than eighty-four percent (84%) of solid volume throughout the layer prior to placement of bituminous base or surface. Prior to placement of the asphalt base/binder, the developer/contractor shall provide the city with written test data which indicates the specified compaction. The DGA shall be primed with Primer L or equivalent before paving.
