§ 34.07 EXPENSES FOR TRAINING AND LICENSING.
   (A)   Meal allowance. It shall be the policy of the town to provide an allowance for meals for employees who maintain licenses, certifications, membership in organizations that promote the betterment of government, or travel at the direction of department heads or the Town Council for town business. The meal allowances shall be as follows: $6.50 per breakfast, $6.50 per lunch, and $13.00 per dinner. Where meals are included as part of the conference or travel plans, no allowance shall be payable to the employee. The meal allowance may be paid in advance provided a claim is submitted to the Clerk-Treasurer’s office 48 hours before the travel will begin.
   (B)   Hotel allowance. It shall be the policy of the town to provide an allowance for hotels for employees who maintain licenses, certifications, membership in organizations that promote the betterment of government, or travel at the direction of department heads or the Town Council for town business. The hotel allowance shall be as follows: a maximum of $79.00 per night.
   (C)   Reimbursement for mileage parking fees and toll fees. It shall be the policy of the town to provide reimbursement for mileage, parking fee and toll fees for employees who maintain licenses, certifications, membership in organizations that promote the betterment of government, or travel at the direction of department heads or the Town Council for town business.
      (1)   Officials and employees of the Town of Paoli who, in the course of conducting official town business, operate their own motor vehicles outside the town of to another location shall be allowed for the mileage traveled by the most expeditious route in going to and returning from said location, a sum for mileage at a rate equal to the current rate allowed and paid to employees of the State of Indiana.
      (2)   In addition to the mileage rate set forth herein above, said officials and employees shall be entitled to reimbursement for toll charges and parking fees incurred in connection with their official travel outside the town.
