(A) Parking regulations. No motor vehicle of any kind shall be permitted to park at any time in the Town Paoli as follows:
(1) In a space designated by the town as a handicapped parking zone, unless the vehicle parked in that zone is a vehicle authorized to be parked in a handicapped parking zone, by permit, for handicap parking;
(2) Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or in a designated fire zone;
(3) It shall be illegal to park a vehicle with a missing or expired license plate;
(4) Parking at a meter space longer than the designated time limit;
(5) Parking in a zone designated for the use of motor buses or other means of public transportation;
(6) Within 20 feet of any intersection;
(7) Facing the wrong direction;
(8) Opposite the flow of traffic;
(9) Parked in a lane used by moving traffic;
(10) More than 12 inches from the curb;
(11) At an improper angle;
(12) In a posted no-parking zone by signs and lines;
(13) In a manner that obstructs a crosswalk or sidewalk;
(14) In front of or in a private driveway;
(15) On a sidewalk or curb;
(16) In a manner that blocks entrance to or exit from a garage;
(17) In a manner that obstructs or blocks vehicular or pedestrian traffic;
(18) In an area designated as prohibited parking by temporary regulations, when signs are erected giving notice;
(19) In a designated street sweeping area; and
(20) In a designated loading zone.
(B) Enforcement. The Paoli Police Department shall be charged with the enforcement of this section.
(C) Penalty for violation.
(1) Any individual or company parking in the above-listed areas shall receive an ordinance ticket from the town by a police officer. The officer may determine it necessary to request vehicles parked in violation of this section be towed.
(2) The fine shall be $50 per violation. Vehicle owner(s) shall be responsible for all towing fees incurred as a result of violating this section.
(3) The fine shall be payable at the Paoli Police Department. In the event said fine is not paid in the time allowed, or detested, at the discretion of the Police Chief and the Town Attorney, the ordinance violation may be filed in court and the violator, upon a finding of guilty, shall be responsible for the $50 fine, court costs, and attorney fees, if applicable.
