(A) The (police officers) of the town are hereby ordered and directed to carry into effect all regulations governing the parking of vehicles as shall from time to time be adopted by the Town Council under the terms and provisions of this chapter and shall enforce all of the terms of such regulations authorized by the terms and provisions of this chapter.

(B) The Town Council shall, from time to time, appoint as necessary special police officers, not being regular police officers, for the limited purpose of enforcing parking regulations, as the parking regulations may, from time to time, be adopted as ordinances or resolutions of the town.
