1494.05 DESIGNATION BY COUNCIL.
   An ordinance passed by the affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the Council shall be required to designate an official landmark. After adoption of an ordinance approving a landmark, the Council shall cause notice to be sent to the Building Commissioner and the Building Department and to the owners of record advising them of such designation and informing them that the structure, building, or site designated as a landmark shall be subject to the requirements of Chapter 1498. The Council also shall direct that the ordinance approving a landmark be recorded in the offices of the Cook County Recorder of Deeds.
