1486.06 IN BUSINESS DISTRICTS AND MANUFACTURING DISTRICTS.
   Notwithstanding the above provisions, storage/cargo containers shall be permitted as a permanent accessory structure in those areas of the Village zoned as a Business District (Chapter 1274 of this Code) or a Manufacturing District (Chapter 1276 of this Code), subject to the following requirements:
   (a)   The storage/cargo container shall not be used for storage of hazardous or unsanitary materials, or food;
   (b)   The storage/cargo container shall be kept sealed and locked at all times other than when access thereto is taking place;
   (c)   The storage/cargo container shall not be stacked and shall not be taller than nine feet;
   (d)   The storage/cargo container shall be located only in rear or side yards, and set back at least ten feet from all property lines;
   (e)   The storage/cargo container shall be located so as not to hinder access to buildings, parking facilities, and utilities located on the property;
   (f)   The storage/cargo container shall be painted a solid, neutral color, similar to the color of the building located on the property;
   (g)   Screening shall be required only if the storage/cargo container is visible from a street, customer parking area, or an adjacent residential property;
   (h)   A building permit shall be required for the construction of said screening;
   (i)   Any screening used in conjunction with a storage/cargo container shall be:
      (1)   A solid wall or fence;
      (2)   At least one foot taller than the storage/cargo container;
      (3)   Constructed of brick, concrete block, wood, or a vinyl material that looks like wood; and
      (4)   A color similar to the color of the building located on the same property;
   (j)   The storage/cargo container, and the screening in relation thereto, shall be maintained by removing weeds from around it, removing rust, graffiti, and peeling paint from it, and repairing damage to it all to be done in a timely manner.
