Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, where commercial planned development approval is being petitioned for pursuant to the provisions of Section 1274.05 of this Code, at the same time as commercial development construction and landscaping approval pursuant to this chapter, a variation from the provisions of Section 1461.01 may be petitioned for as part of the commercial planned development and commercial development construction and landscaping approval process, may be recommended by the Plan Commission as part of said process, and may be approved by the Village Council as part of the approval of the commercial planned development and the commercial development construction and landscaping approval.
