(a) There is hereby established the position of Building Inspector. The Building Inspector shall be appointed by and act under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Property and Building.
(b) The Building Inspector shall enforce all provisions of these Codified ordinances relating to buildings or zoning and shall inspect all buildings and structures, including fences, being erected or altered, as frequently as may be necessary to ensure compliance with these Codified Ordinances and other Village ordinances. The Building Inspector shall review all architectural drawings and plans upon which building permits were issued and inspect all buildings and structures being erected or altered to ensure adherence to the architectural plans. The Building Inspector shall forward to the Township and County Assessor a copy of each building permit issued, as required by statute.
