All connections and water applied for under this chapter, and all water used under this chapter, shall be upon the express condition that the Village shall not be liable, nor shall any claim be made against it, for damage or injury caused by the breakage of any main, branch, service pipe, apparatus or appurtenance connected with the water system or plant, or any part of such plant, or for any interruption of the supply because of the breakage of machinery or because of stoppage, alteration, extension or renewal.
