1040.17 DATUM.

The datum shall be indicated on the plans submitted. All plans shall preferably be based on the Chicago City Datum which is established as: O.OOC.C.D = 579.48 ft. above Mean Sea Level (1929 Adjustment) or 579.88 ft. above Mean Tide New York. If any other datum is used, a conversion equation shall be shown on the plans to relate the datum used to the Chicago City Datum.
