804.17 CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION.
   (a)   All contractors doing work in the Village shall be registered with the Village.
   (b)   The application for a contractor registration shall be made using a form provided by the Village, and shall include such information and documentation as required by the Village, including, but not limited to:
      (1)   The contractor's name, address, phone number and e-mail address;
      (2)   Proof of compliance with all applicable State and/or Federal requirements applicable to the contractor, such as, but not limited to, license, registration, bonds, insurance, and certificates of good standing;
      (3)   A certificate of insurance showing general comprehensive liability insurance coverage of at least three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) per occurrence; and
      (4)   A statement that indemnifies and saves the Village, and its officers, agents and employees, harmless from any liability, loss, or damage as a result of any actions of, or the work undertaken by, the contractor.
   (c)   An annual registration fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00), for the entire calendar year, shall be paid to the Village. If the registration occurs during the last four (4) months of the calendar year (September 1st to December 31st), a partial year registration fee of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) shall be paid to the Village, in lieu of the annual registration fee. Said registration fees shall be doubled in the event the contractor is required to apply for a registration as a result of having been caught working in the Village without a valid registration.
   (d)   Notwithstanding the foregoing, contractors that are exclusively regulated by the State of Illinois shall register by providing the information/documentation set forth in subsections (b)(1) and (b)(4) above, along with a copy of said contractor's current State of Illinois license/registration. Any such contractor shall be exempt from paying the fee set forth in subsection (c) above, relative to said registration.
   (e)   The contractor shall keep all registration application information, and the contractor's certificate of insurance (if required under this section), up to date with the Village. Failure to do so shall void the registration.
   (f)   Working in the Village with no registration, or a voided or expired registration, shall subject the contractor to stop work orders and fines, as well as any other Code enforcement options available to the Village.
