No person shall permit a dog, even though on a leash, to enter a public building, restaurant, office, store, grocery, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, soft drink parlor or any store or shop for the sale of food, except any shop for the sale of animal pets, during the time that such places are open for the use of the public.
This section shall not apply to dogs leading blind and/or deaf persons or to law enforcement dogs.
