608.06 LICENSE FEES; TAGS.
   (a)   The fee for a dog license shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per year for each dog. All licenses shall be for a period of one year, beginning on July 1st of each year and expiring on June 30th of the following year. No prorating of the license fee shall be made relative to any license purchased after the start of the license year.
   (b)   The dog license shall be evidenced by a small metal tag to be issued to the owner of each properly licensed dog upon the payment of the license fee. Such license tag shall bear the name of the Village, an identifying license number and the license year, and shall be securely attached to the collar or harness of such dog. A replacement tag shall be issued upon payment of a fee of five dollars ($5.00).
