Subject to review and confirmation by Council, the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to cause to be installed and maintained official traffic control devices, stop signs and yield signs when and where necessary to make effective the provisions of this Traffic Code and to ensure the safety of persons traveling upon the streets of the Village.
