289.08 POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE FAIR HOUSING COMMISSION.
   The adjudicative responsibilities for this chapter shall be in the Fair Housing Commission. The Fair Housing Commission shall have the following powers and duties:
   (a)   To hold hearings on and make findings of fact with respect to any matter referred to the Commission by the Manager.
   (b)   To administer oaths, take sworn testimony, and to subpoena witnesses and pertinent documents, which power may be enforced by proper petition to any court of competent jurisdiction, in relation to any matter referred to said Commission by the Manager.
   (c)   To publish its findings of fact and recommendations in relation to matters referred to said Commission by the Manager.
   (d)   To render from time to time, but not less often than once every twelve (12) months, a written report of its activities and recommendations with respect to fair housing practices.
   (e)   To adopt such rules and regulations as may be necessary and desirable to carry out the purpose of this chapter.
   (f)   To meet at least once every three (3) months for the purpose of reviewing fair housing within the Village, and preparing and making recommendations to the Village Council in relation to suggested activities to promote and improve fair housing within the Village.
