278.02 COMPOSITION; TERMS; VACANCIES.

The Library Board of Trustees shall consist of six members chosen from the residents at large, with reference to their fitness for such office. Pursuant to 75 ILCS 5/4-2, the Trustees shall be appointed by Council and shall each serve for a term of four years as established by resolution of the Library Board. Should a vacancy occur on the Board, a new Trustee shall be appointed to serve for the duration of the vacated term.
