Subject to making an appropriation therefor in the annual Village budget, there is hereby established the position of Assistant to the Village Manager, which position shall be filled only with the approval of the corporate authorities. The Assistant to the Village Manager shall provide assistance to the Village Manager, and shall perform such duties as are assigned by the Village Manager and/or the corporate authorities.
