Up to a depth of 4-1/2 feet, the floor slope of all swimming pools regulated under this chapter shall not exceed one foot vertical to 7 feet horizontal in the shallow end. From the 4-1/2-foot depth to the deepest point, the floor slope shall not exceed one foot vertical to 3 feet horizontal. The transition point between shallow and deep water shall occur where the depth is not less than 4-1/2 feet and not more than 5 feet, except where a lifeline is maintained at the transition point.
