The erection, installation, or maintenance of satellite antenna dishes of the type covered herein must be made in accordance with the following conditions:
(A) Residential districts.
(1) The maximum diameter of any such dish shall not exceed ten feet.
(2) All such dishes shall be of the open ribs, rim, and wire mesh type construction.
(3) No such dish shall be located in the front yard area or within any side yard or within any rear yard setback from the rear lot line of any property.
(4) No such dish shall be located on, mounted, or attached to any portion of any building or structure situated on the property.
(5) A dish not exceeding ten feet in diameter, ground or pole mounted, may be located in the rear yard, but no closer than ten feet from the principal building, and shall be no higher than a roof line established by that building or 27 feet above grade, whichever is less. The ground mounted dishes shall be landscaped, including berming, hedging, or fencing as approved by the building commissioner, and shall be of a neutral color so as to render them compatible with the surrounding neighborhood in appearance and character.
(6) No more than one such dish shall be installed or located on any lot or parcel and that dish shall supply television broadcast to that identified lot only.
(B) Non-residential districts.
(1) The erection, installation or maintenance of satellite antenna dishes for non-residential districts shall be as determined by the mayor and the city council.
(2) Applications for such installations shall be made to the building commissioner who shall make a recommendation to the planning and zoning committee of the city council which shall, in turn, make its recommendation to the mayor and the city council who shall review and act upon such recommendation.
