(A) Fence material and placement. Fences in areas other than residential zoning shall be of wire mesh or cyclone type, masonry or equivalent, or painted board, and shall be set back no less than three feet from the front or street side property line or lines.
(B) Fence height. Fences allowed in non-residential districts, with the following exception, shall not exceed 8 feet in height. Where the grade difference of the adjacent residential district is two or more feet then the fence height shall not be more than 10 feet in height, including lights and other fixtures or accessories. Except for where such fences abut residential properties, the top 2 feet of the fences may be finished in barbed-wire type material.
(C) Fence anchoring. The fence shall be so anchored or buttressed as to resist a wind force of 100 m.p.h.
(D) Sightlines for pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety. No fence shall be erected which will obstruct or tend to obstruct the view of pedestrian, bicycle or vehicular movements on any given street or street intersection.
(E) Temporary fences. Building construction for activities other than residential shall hereafter provide a painted board fence of not less than 6 feet in height or more than 8 feet in height at the rear of the premises at locations where the alleyways abut residential properties. Doors or gates in the fences are permissible for ingress and egress of persons or vehicles.
(F) Advertising. General advertising on fences is prohibited unless the same pertains to the operation of the business itself for identification purposes.
