(A) There is hereby adopted by reference, as if fully set out herein, that certain code known as the “International Energy Conservation Code” current edition adopted by the State of Illinois prepared and published by the International Code Council, Inc., together with the additions, insertions, deletions, and changes hereinafter set forth, one copy of which has been for a period of more than 30 days prior to the effective date hereof and now is on file in the office of the city clerk.
(B) The following additions, insertions, deletions and changes are hereby made to the above adopted International Energy Conservation Code:
SECTION 101.1 TITLE. Delete in its entirety.
SECTION 101.3 COMPLIANCE. Amend by adding the following new Section 101.3.3:
101.3.3 OPTIONAL RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS. The requirements of this code are optional for detached single-family and town home structures provided compliance with the provisions of the “International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings” as amended is obtained.
