§ 150.73 RESIDENTIAL SMOKE DETECTORS.
   (A)   Smoke detectors shall be installed in all residential dwellings. One smoke detector shall be installed at each habitable level, with any rise of 7 inches or more constituting a change in level. In all new or remodeled dwellings, the smoke detector shall be powered by a 110 volt supply on a separate circuit serving only the detectors. This smoke detector shall also be equipped with a battery back-up system.
   (B)   All smoke detectors shall be connected so that the actuation of one smoke detector shall cause the actuation of all other smoke detectors in the residence.
