§ 150.67 MISCELLANEOUS MODEL PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   All new water services shall be metered. New services include but are not limited to water service in new construction of all types.
   (B)   Flushing of sanitary sewers with potable water shall be performed through the use of a high velocity type sewer jet.
   (C)   Flow rates; water usage.
      (1)   In all new construction and in all repair or replacement of water using fixtures, only fixtures not exceeding the following flow rates or water usage shall be installed. These ratings are based on a pressure at the fixture of 40 to 50 psi.
         (a)   Water Closets, tank type- 3.5 gal. per flush (13.2 liters)
         (b)   Water Closets, flushometer type - 3.0 gal. per flush (11.4 liters)
         (c)   Urinals, tank type - 3.0 gal. per flush (11.4 liters)
         (d)   Urinals, flushometer type - 3.0 gal. per flush (11.4 liters)
         (e)   Shower heads - 3.0 gal. per minute (11.4 liters)
         (f)   Lavatory, sink faucets - 3.0 gal. per minute (11.4 liters)
      (2)   Lavatories for public use. In addition to the requirements in § 150.67 (1) above, in all new construction and in all repair or replacement of fixtures and faucets of lavatories located in restrooms intended for public use, the fixtures shall be of the metering or self-closing type.
      (3)   Car wash installation. In all new construction and replacement of fixtures, car wash installations shall be equipped with a recycling system on the wash water unit and the rinse cycle unit.
   (D)   All new or major remodeling installations of water-operated air conditioning units shall be of the closed circuit type.
   (E)   PVC Flue Pipe shall be permitted for appropriate high tech furnaces, waste and vents.
   (F)   In all new construction there shall be installed over all furnaces, within four feet of the heat unit and water heater, either two sprinkler heads off of the domestic water system or 5/8" Fire Code Drywall.
