(A) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the “International Code Council Inc., 2006 Edition,” or the “Chicago Electrical Code,” service entrance cables on existing buildings must be approved by the electrical inspection department whenever such building undergoes any alteration or addition.

(B) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the "BOCA" Basic Building Code, the use of light emitting diode exit signs in all commercial and public buildings is permitted.
