(A) The owner or contractor shall post a notification sign on the lot or property at least ten days prior to the demolition of any building, structure or portion thereof, with a minimum size being two feet by three feet and attached to a post or erected so as to be visible form the street.
(B) From this sign shall read “As required by the City of Palos Heights, notice is given that the structure located on this property or a portion thereof will be demolished on or about “ (date to be inserted). Note: The date inserted shall be the date ten days from the date the sign is posted. “Any questions concerning this demolition, please contact the Palos Heights Building Commissioner at 708-361-1804.”
(C) The fee for the demolition permit sign is $25 payable in advance of demolition date. There is a deposit of $150 which is refundable when the sign is returned in good condition; if the sign is not returned, the deposit will not be refunded.
(D) Any violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of no less than $50 nor more than $200 dollars.
