§ 150.08 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS;REPETITION OF DESIGN.
   (A)   No contractor or builder shall construct 2 or more buildings of like exterior design on the same side of any street unless the buildings are separated by 3 or more buildings or building sites or combination thereof of completely dissimilar design. Buildings of like exterior design may not be erected directly across the street from each other.
   (B)   All buildings shall be considered to be of "like exterior design" unless they have:
      (1)   One primary change; or
      (2)   Three major changes. Three minor changes may be substituted in lieu of one of the major changes.
   (C)   For the purpose of this chapter, primary, major, and minor changes refer to the front elevation only, and are defined as follows:
      (1)   PRIMARY CHANGE.
         (a)   General building style -ranch, split-level, two-story.
         (b)   General building shape (plan view) - rectangular, "L"-shaped, "U"-shaped. (Note: In the case of nonrectangular shapes, a minimum of 15% of the foundation area under roof must be in each rectangular section.)
      (2)   MAJOR CHANGE.
         (a)   Roof treatment - hip, gable, or mansard.
         (b)   Location of garage entry - side and front.
         (c)   Type of brick treatment - extended porticos.
         (d)   Material treatment - brick vs. brick and siding combinations.
         (e)   Overall facade - Mediterranean vs. colonial or Spanish as example.
      (3)   MINOR CHANGE.
         (a)    Vertical or horizontal siding.
         (b)   Colors of materials.
         (c)    Door treatment - garage and entry.
         (d)   Window styles - casements, bows, and double-hung.
         (e)    Eave treatment or porch treatment.
         (f)   Shutter treatment.
         (g)   Chimney treatment.
         (h)   Ornamental treatment -lighting fixture location, posts, and fascia.
         (i)   Type of siding - wood or aluminum.
