§ 139.01 SMOKING RESTRICTIONS.
   The Cook County Clean Indoor Air Ordinance, adopted by the Cook County Board of Commissioners on March 15, 2006 and effective March 15, 2007, is hereby declared to be inoperative in the City of Palos Heights pursuant to Article VII, Section 6(c) of the Illinois Constitution. Notwithstanding Section 4 of the Cook County Clean Indoor Air Ordinance, smoking in all enclosed public places and places of employment is hereby declared to be legal in the City of Palos Heights subject only to such restrictions as existed under federal law, the Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act and city ordinances prior to the enactment of the Cook County Ordinance.
