§ 137.06 PRODUCTION OF CANNABIS SATIVA PLANT.
   It is unlawful for any person knowingly to produce the cannabis sativa plant or to possess such plants unless the production or possession has been authorized pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of the Cannabis Control Act, approved August 16, 1971, as amended. Any person who violates this section with respect to production or possession of:
   (A)   Not more than five plants is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
   (B)   More than five plants is guilty of a felony and shall be prosecuted under appropriate state law.
