§ 100.01 FIRE CODE ADOPTED.
   (A)   There is adopted by the city for the purpose of promoting the public safety, health, and welfare the National Fire Code, 2001 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, the National Fire Protection Association Code #1, 2000 Edition, the National Fire Protection Association Code 101, Life Safety Code, 1997 Edition and the National Fire Protection Code, 101, Life Safety Code 2003, and their subsequent revisions and the whole thereof, except such portions pertaining to the organization, administration, operation, and equipment of the fire department and such portions as are otherwise inapplicable to the city, or as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended. Three copies of the code have been for a period of 30 days and are now on file in the office of the city clerk and the same are incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. The provisions thereof shall be controlling within the boundaries of the city.
   (B)   Wherever the word MUNICIPALITY or other word denoting a municipality is used in the code, it shall mean the city.
   (C)   Notwithstanding the adoption of the codes set forth in division (A) and all sections thereafter contained therein, the city code and all codes referenced in division (A) hereof are amended to provide that all newly constructed, nonresidential buildings and structures of whatever size and dimension, shall install a fire sprinkling and fire suppression system in accordance with the codes adopted in division (A) herein.
