§ 91.43 BITES AND INJURIES.
   (A)   Animal bites or injuries shall be reported to the police department. Victims will be advised to seek medical attention.
   (B)   When an animal has caused death, any injury to or has bitten any human, the owner shall immediately cooperate by following the impounding mandate by the Cook County Department of Animal Control.
   (C)   No person shall turn loose, abandon, give away, sell, or hide in any manner any animal that has attacked, bitten, or injured a person or other animal.
   (D)   The process of impounding, observing, euthanizing, testing, or releasing the biting animal shall be coordinated between the owner, the police department, and the attending veterinarian.
   (E)   The owner shall bear all expenses for impoundment and injuries caused by his animal.
