The parent of any child and the guardian of any ward shall not authorize or knowingly permit any child or ward to violate any of the provisions of this subchapter. Any parent or guardian knowingly authorizing or permitting a violation shall upon conviction thereof be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished in accordance with the penalties provided for by § 72.999.
