House sewer pipes shall be of extra heavy cast-iron soil pipe, or extra strength vitrified clay pipe, the designations of which shall be subject to the provisions of § 52.18, except that whenever the excavation for a house sewer is made in unstable ground, the material for the house sewer shall be extra heavy cast-iron pipe.
