§ 35.03 CHIEF OF POLICE - APPOINTMENT; TERM.
   The mayor, with the advice and consent of the city council, may appoint an officer of the city, to be styled "chief of police," who shall hold office during the pleasure of the mayor and city council. The chief of police shall be the superintendent of the police department of the city.
