The term of office of each member of the Veterans Commission shall be for three years. Initially, three members shall be appointed to one-year terms, three members to two-year terms, and three members to three-year terms. Thereafter, all members shall be appointed to three-year terms, except in the case of an appointment to fill a vacancy, when the appointee shall be appointed for the remainder of the vacated term.
