§ 34.40 CREATION AND APPOINTMENT.
   There is created a youth commission for the city. The youth commission shall consist of five members (three adults and two teens, defined as 13 to 19 years old) to serve out a complete term, and to be appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of the city council. One adult chairman shall be appointed for a two-year term, two adults shall be appointed for three-year terms, and two teens shall be appointed for one-year terms. In the appointment of the members, the mayor and city council shall give consideration to the broad representation of all groups and individuals, lay and professional, from within the social and religious structure of the community.
