When the previous question is moved on the main question, and seconded, and on amendments, if pending, it shall be put in this form: "Shall the question now be voted upon?". If the motion is carried by 2/3 of the aldermen present and voting, all further amendments, and all further motions and debate shall be excluded, and the question put without delay, upon the pending amendments in proper order, and then upon the main question.
