The Chief of Public Safety shall:
(A) Be commissioned and appointed as a peace officer under Tex. Code of Criminal Procedure § 2.12;
(B) Perform duties as “Chief of Police” and may use such title;
(C) Oversee all operations of the office of Public Safety and its personnel/volunteers;
(D) Appoint/delegate to those persons within the office of Public Safety, which are capable of completing the tasks; and
(E) Serve as the city’s Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator (AEMC).
