An official zoning map of the city shall be kept in the office of the Planning Director, and in such other offices as may be deemed appropriate, such as the City Council meeting chambers and the like. It shall be the duty of the Planning Director to keep the official map updated by coordinating with the city’s technical staff to promptly enter any changes in zoning districts on the zoning map, which the City Council may, from time to time, authorize. The City Secretary, upon the adoption of this chapter and after the series of public hearings to establish zonings within the city, shall affix a certificate identifying the map in his or her office as the official zoning map of the city.
