§ 72.18 ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY PERMIT.
It is recognized that special or emergency circumstances may exist whereby it becomes necessary for a resident or a resident’s guest(s) to temporarily park a vehicle on public streets at restricted times. The purpose of this section is to accommodate said resident and resident’s guests on a temporary basis and is not meant to permit a resident and/or resident’s guest(s) to usurp the general prohibition against parking on a public street as provided in § 72.15. Accordingly, upon request, city police officers or its personnel are authorized to issue up to two permits per residence authorizing the parking of a non-resident's vehicle on a public street within the city during the prohibited hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
