(A) There is hereby created and established a Municipal Court Building Security Fund, herein known as the Security Fund, pursuant to the Tex. Code of Criminal Procedures Art. 102.017. The fund may be maintained in an interest bearing account and may be maintained in the general revenue account.
(B) The judge of the Municipal Court shall collect the security fee from every person upon the conviction of a Class C misdemeanor as a cost of court in addition to the fines imposed pursuant to city ordinances and/or state law. All such court costs collected shall be deposited in the General Fund of the city. The fee shall be in the amount of $3.
