(A) Upon the granting of the permit required by this chapter, and prior to the commencement of erection and or construction, a bond with good and sufficient sureties for a sum of not less than $10,000 providing for the payment to the city and to any person or persons injured or damaged in person or property, including damages to streets, culverts or any other property of the city, for all injuries and damaged caused by, or growing out of, or in any manner connected with the erection, construction, structural alteration, placing or locating of the sign covered by the permit.
(B) Upon filing of the required bond, the Building Inspector shall determine whether or not the sum of $10,000 is sufficient to cover the amount of probable damage. In the event that it is determined by the Building Inspector that a higher amount is necessary to cover such damages, such bond shall be made and increased to such determined amount.
