The compensation of Council members or of the Mayor, together with the manner of payment, shall be established by the budgetary process according to Florida Statute. The budget establishing the annual compensation of the Mayor and the council members shall be undertaken prior to September 30th as required by law. The Council and Mayor may provide that members shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties and shall be reimbursed at the current government rate.
