§ 157.075 SPECIAL INSPECTOR.
   Special inspector and shoring and reshoring requirements:
   (A)   Threshold buildings shall be inspected by a special inspector who shall be a registered architect or engineer who has qualified as same with the department of professional regulation;
   (B)   The duly authorized representatives of special inspectors shall have at least five years’ experience as a building inspector, builder, engineer, architect, or as a superintendent, foreperson or competent mechanic in charge of construction;
   (C)   Documented proof of the above qualifications and experience must be furnished to the local code enforcement agency for approval. The authorized representatives must sign daily inspection reports;
   (D)   A special inspector may also be a person certified or registered under the Building Officials’ Association of Florida, the Southern Building Code Congress, the Council of American Building Officials and Dade or Broward County Inspector of Certification; and
   (E)   All shoring and reshoring procedures, plans and details shall be prepared and sealed by a state registered engineer and a signed and sealed copy of all shoring documents shall be submitted to the architect, structural engineer, and the local code enforcement agency prior to issuance of permit. All shoring and reshoring installations shall be supervised, inspected, and certified to be in compliance with the shoring documents by the contractor. The same shall also be inspected by the special inspector.
